Accessibility
We want to make our buildings as accessible as possible and regularly review arrangements both within St Andrew's Church and the Church Centre next door.
Our service booklets and readings can be downloaded each week in advance from the Sermons and Readings page of our website should you need to convert these. Our weekly notices can also be downloaded from the What's On page. The readings, psalm and notices are usually posted on Friday afternoons and the sermon after the Sunday morning service.
We have large print hymn books and large print orders of services available as you come into the St Andrew's Church.
We have an audio induction loop system in place for those who need it. This requires that hearing aids are switched to their T (telecoil) setting.
The images below demonstrate that there is step-free access both into the Church, the Lady Chapel and the Church Centre where wheelchair accessible facilities are available. If you use a wheelchair there is plenty of space within the nave to accommodate these and we also have dedicated spaces within our pews should you wish to make use of them. Holy Communion is distributed from the Chancel step but can be brought to you in your place if required. Gluten-free hosts are available.
We have a dedicated and well-equipped play area within the church for children and families to enjoy and an accessible garden also. Children play an active part in our worshipping life here with regular children's talks, children's church sessions on Sunday mornings and opportunities to read, lead prayers and serve at the altar during the Eucharist.
Please don't hesitate to speak to a member of our Welcome Team on arrival should you require any specific assistance. They will be on the door as you arrive and wear name badges.
We hope this information and the images below give you some idea of what is in place within our buildings to aid accessibility but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you want to make any suggestions or give us any feedback.
